At Camping Memling, ..Automatic Check-in! We managed it OK, just before the &#8220;Full&#8221; sign went up, phew! We bussed into Bruges a couple of times,&nbsp;before cycling in on the 3rd day. Had we known just how easy the bike ride was, we&#8217;d have ditched the bus sooner. It&#8217;s refreshing to see that cyclists seem to take priority over other road-users, a bit un- nerving till you get used to it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bruges is picture perfect, with its waterways and cobbled streets. We saw the sights, and topped it up with&nbsp; a really informative&nbsp; bus tour of the town..at a touristy price, but worth dipping into the budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The photo opposite shows the Belfort in central Bruges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/worldofwills.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/P6220626-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4733\" width=\"512\" height=\"384\" srcset=\"https:\/\/worldofwills.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/P6220626-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/worldofwills.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/P6220626-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/worldofwills.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/P6220626-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/worldofwills.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/P6220626-1200x900.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/worldofwills.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/P6220626.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 512px) 85vw, 512px\" \/><figcaption>Bruges<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Prices were generally high in\u00a0 \u00a0Bruges, but we found a reasonable\u00a0 set 3 course menu, where A indulged in a\u00a0 bunny rabbit dish&#8230;no bunnies were harmed in making my beef casserole&#8230;and Motown was being played in the restaurant&#8230;fine by me! For a bit of culture, on our last day, it was off to\u00a0 the Groeningemuseum, where there was\u00a0 some very interesting art, including some Van Eyck, and the weird and wonderful Bosch. Andrew, of course, has his own take on the religious art&#8230;.we did a lot of walking around, including spotting some film set locations&#8230;Bucket List ticked!
